Testimonials

David began by suggesting much of this course was common sense, which it is, but that undersells its value, since I never took the time before to consider how I do all these things, and how I might improve my practice.

Nick (AQA)

Thanks for the brilliant training session earlier this month; I have implemented the ‘Outlook’ system and it truly has made a world of difference! I no longer feel overwhelmed by my inbox and my work feels organised and under control.

Barbara (University of East Anglia)

Best course I’ve been on in years!  I previously had “urgent vs. important” theory coming out of my ears, but just no way of applying any of it.  This was totally different.

Thea Mangels

This is undoubtedly the best course I have been on in 20+ years of my working life.  Very conversational without patronising group activities.

Kelly Chennery

I am a PRINCE2 practitioner and programme managed a national programme at Scottish Government in the past and I can honestly say your 1 day course gave me more practical applications of knowledge that I can instantly relate to than my previous training or experience. Thanks.

Frank (The State Hospitals NHS Board)

I have just completed the ‘Ease the Load’ training that David delivered at the University of Edinburgh. It has been the most useful training I have attended. So many great tips to help manage the many demands life brings.

Eilidh (University of Edinburgh)

I took part in the training of ‘Ease the Load’ presented by David at the University of Sheffield in August 2014. I found the whole day to be really beneficial and have put it to good use back in the office (and also at home).

Alison (University of Sheffield)

I just wanted to drop you a little note to say a massive ’thank you’ for the tools and tips you equipped us with at your Focus! Plan! Attack! Course here at the University on 6th December.

I was extremely cynical about ever having an ‘Inbox Zero’ but much to my surprise (and after years of 1500+ outstanding emails) I have finally achieved it. What a weight off my shoulders!

I also have a neat prioritised action list, which is actually much shorter than it seemed when hidden amongst 1500 other emails.

I’m now trying to wean myself off my dozens of Outlook folders, it may take a while but I’m getting there.

I’ve recommended the course to all of my team.

Thanks again

Dawn

Dawn (University of Edinburgh)

Following on from a fantastic workshop with David, I would highly recommend his “Ease the Load Workshop”.
He is incredibly engaging, and managed the difficult task of enabling me to clear my inbox. Thanks David!

Caroline (Booking.com)

I was reasonably well-organised (I thought), but my task list was getting on top of me. And don’t even ask how many emails in my inbox!

David transformed my approach to organisation: he helped me re-assess my priorities, to remember what my job really is, and streamline my operation.

Most importantly, he showed me tools that I could use to organise myself. Some of these were software, but some of them were techniques for staying on top of things.

Carron (University of Stirling)
